BARC SEC meetings in 2017

Added: 2nd February 2017 at 7:45

Same as last year, in that we are not organising any meetings ourselves, but we will be heavily involved with four BARC HQ meetings at Brands Hatch. This will be the two truck meetings on March 25/26 and November 4/5, plus the meetings on July 29/30 and September 23/24. We would therefore encourage any marshals to volunteer via BARC HQ at Thruxton for any of these events. We will have all three of our championships at these meetings, so come and see some exciting racing and meet our drivers.

A New BARC SE Centre Rescue Unit

Added: 1st July 2016 at 21:05

The Committee is very pleased to announce that we have been able to formally hand over the new fully equipped Rescue Unit to Paul Butt and his colleagues. The official handover took place at Brands Hatch on Sunday 26th June 2016.

The purchase of the new unit was self-financing due to the fact that over many years Paul and his colleagues have made significant financial contributions to Centre’s funds. The money raised was due to the hiring of the Rescue Units by motor clubs and other motorsport organisations, and we wish to record our sincere thanks to them for hiring our units. We hope that the appearance of our new unit at race meetings will help not only promote BARC SE Centre’s profile, but motorsport in general.

BARC SEC meetings in 2016

Added: 7th March 2016

Although BARC south east are not running their own meetings in 2016, we will be supporting four BARC HQ events at Brands Hatch this year. We would therefore encourage marshals to come to Brands Hatch for both truck meetings plus the club events on June 25/26 and July 30/31. Please volunteer through BARC at Thruxton.

BARC SEC Lydden Hill meetings in 2015

Added: 24th April 2015

Urgent call for marshals for our Lydden meetings. We require marshals to volunteer for our two Lydden meetings this year on June 20/21 and October 3. Anyone interested please contact Amanda Bird as soon as possible. The June meeting features a whole variety of racing on three different layouts. There will be entertainment on the Saturday evening, which includes a hog roast and live music. We are the only car racing club at Lydden this year, so it is very important we get your support to keep these meetings viable.

BARC SEC Lydden Hill meetings in 2014

Added: 25th June 2014

A big THANK YOU to all the marshals who attended our annual Truck Festival meeting at Lydden Hill on June 21/22. The warm weather made it a pleasant weekend, but hopefully none of you got sun burnt. The racing was superb from the various disciplines and we trust you all had an enjoyable time.

We are back at Lydden on Saturday October 4th. This is just a one day meeting featuring our three championships, along with the Sevenesque sports car series, plus the Production BMWs. It will be another busy day, with plenty of action. Again we are looking for your support, so please contact Chris Bird as soon as possible, if you are able to volunteer.
